Upon arriving back to Georgia, I decided I would waste no time having the 3rd party mechanic comb through the vehicle to make sure there were no major issues. Soon there after, the this 3rd party mechanic made me aware of some problems with the front axle which would worsen if not fixed. I was not worried though, as I had procured the thorough warranty. I called the company to confirm these repairs would be covered and to my surprise this was not the case. Nothing would be covered and my warranty was vastly less comprehensive than it was sold to me. I called Behlman to discuss the confusion. Apart from confirming what I now already knew, the default “AS-IS” statement became very redundant. Additionally, I was continually confronted with the idea that vehicles do require maintenance. I have owned plenty of vehicles and this was not a new concept for me.
Manager complained of having to pay for CarFax when we were serious about a car and came in a second time same day. They initially printed up Auto Check. Be sure to ask if you'll receive floor mats. They informed me that they do not come with my used car! They also will not fill up your gas tank before driving your car off the lot after purchasing (less than 1/4 a tank was in my car and it takes $22.00 to fill up a civic). I was desperate to find a car after my car was totalled. Sorry, but after that experience its hard for me to recommend your dealership.
Great selection! Went in with no idea of what to buy and was very pleased with the inventory and the knowledge of our salesman Gennaro. He knew the details of every car we looked at which really helped making our decision easy. Even the paperwork/financing was a breeze. Save yourself the hassle of driving around to multiple places and just go here. Every member of their staff was great to work with!
I didn't actually but anything here..... yet. Came by wanting to kick tires and test drive 3 different trucks. Guy said sure thing, let me go get the keys. Easy to work with, treated us as if we had a clue, and was impressed at how easy the process was. We'll buy from them, if we get the same treatment, when we come back with full pockets!
Tony was great to deal with! Tim, the GM and Taylor in Finance were Great Also. From start to finish on the purchasing experience, they were not pushy, understood my needs and took the time to listen to my concerns about some of the things I read online. I think if you go in with reasonable expectations, they will do everything they can to come to a mutually beneficial agreement. I did my research on my vehicles worth and the one I was looking at and when I told them what I thought was fair, they looked at it and with some consideration accepted my offer. I understand they have to make money and I felt like I got a good deal. I will review again if there are any unresolved issues in the future, but at this point, I am a happy customer.
I since have cancelled my warranty. I had hoped to have Behlman compensate me for the $1300 necessary repairs I will be making, or at least contribute a fraction, but they have been unwilling to help. It seemed fair given the warranty was sold as something it was not. At the end of the day much of this responsibility falls on me as the consumer, but I had higher expectations Behlman would have stepped up in an effort to help their customer out of a bad situation which stemmed from their poor communication.
After spending weeks searching locally in Georgia, and on the internet for a vehicle to meet my criteria, I stumbled upon a promising listing at Behlman Carnection. Upon locating this listing, I had many conversations with the sales team about the truck, and about working out a deal. I had recently sold my primary vehicle to prepare for the purchase. The plan was to fly up, and inspect the vehicle, purchase and drive back to Georgia. The plan for the most part went well. I inspected the vehicle, determined with my limited mechanical knowledge and capability, the vehicle was sound and I would be moving forward with the purchase. During my meeting with the Finance representative, it was brought to my attention I would have the opportunity to buy an added warranty. The warranty, as it was explained to me at the time, was a 100,000 mile plan which covered everything, with the exception of hub assemblies. Behlman offers a 3000 mile warranty on all vehicles. However, seeing as I was buying an expensive diesel truck, I decided I would opt for the additional warranty. It was an difficult expense to add, but I wanted to protect myself from any surprises once I had the chance to have a 3rd party mechanic inspect the vehicle. At this point I was pretty pleased with how things had gone, and I was now the proud owner of a new-used heavy duty pickup truck. At which point, I began my journey back to Georgia.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS PLACE.
The following is a recap of my recent experience with Behlman Carnection. The purpose of this review is not to personally attack anyone involved or the dealership as a company, but rather to serve as an informative essay. My hope is to potentially improve future customers’ experiences by offering a little visibility into the struggles I have been through.
