Being able to talk out your issues, and hearing other people's problems is what group therapy is all about. If this is not your thing, don't come here! It helped me get over my dad's murder! Therapy is what you put into it, and what you get out of it.

it's helpful for me to have this additonal time of thereapy while i'm unmedicated due to pregnancy and honestly this program is probly the best option for me at this time. but the topics are repetitive, and boring/tedious

Don’t waste your time trying to put a loved one into this facility... mine came out worse than before.

This place was a life saver for me. My therapist David was amazing and helped me understand things! I have been back and will be returning if needed! This is the ONLY place that has ever helped me! I highly recommend it to everyone! For behavior health, co-occuring disorders, and drug treatment! I have used it for all...

September 2016 my brother was in Centerpointe in St. Charles for alcohol detox. Day three he started going into DTs and hallucinating and the staff did not recognize this. They transferred him to the psych ward. Because of his delusions and hallucinations and poor judgment and what I feel like was a lack of proper treatment on Centerpointe's part, he checked himself out of Centerpointe. The staff was not properly trained to administer medications effectively to patients with poor judgment and decision-making, which many of these patients have. From what it sounded like to me, the stafd were not professional and they were not respectful to the patients. I did not feel that Centerpointe staff was properly trained to handle these type of patients, particularly the ones that are dual diagnosis. Don't waste your time and effort getting your loved one into this facility. I do not feel that they treated my brother with dignity and respect and they did not know how to properly care for him during his alcohol detox and dealing with his mental health issues that he has. He said he had a lot of free time during the day, which they could've used for therapy and counseling. They did not keep the patients busy and there were too many smoke breaks and game playing / free time for those who do not smoke, who want to keep busy, and be constructive with their time. Three weeks after leaving Centerpointe, we took my brother to Mercy St Louis because he was so sick, and he was successfully detoxed with proper medical care under the direct supervision of physicians, psychiatrist, psychologist, and professional nursing staff.
